Pictured here are relics in reliquaries as distributed by the Vatican during the beatification and canonization of Bl. Junipero Serra and St. Maria Soledad Torres Acosta. Unlike normal relics that are distributed in their locket setting only, these special settings are presented to religious order dignitaries.
Bl. Junipero Serra is the founder of the missions in California.
St. Maria, of Madrid, Spain, was canonized in 1970 by Pope Paul VI.
